New official Port Elizabeth.NET domain - http://www.pedeveloper.net

Port Elizabeth.NET now has it's own domain name! :) The website has been uploaded. Check it out at http://www.pedeveloper.net.

All future events will be on there. Keep your eyes peeled for the event registration module that will allow registration for events online too. (yes yes, this site has that as well, but it's a pre-built system which doesn't allow for any customizations).

Don't forge the blog either. It's at http://pedotnet.blogspot.com. Hopefully soon I will be able to integrate that too.

If anyone is interested in helping out with the site with some development, please gimme a shout: dcoates at qzcreative.co.za

See ya'll online :)

BLOGGERS REQUIRED to help grow the community

The community is looking for bloggers. It doesn't have to be full-time. A review/article from time to time or even once-off would also be great :)
The aim is for the community members to get involved and this would be a great start.

Some notes on blogging:
  • You don't have to know everything to blog, you just need to know what you are blogging about i.e. If you say Intel is the best processor for software development, you better have some evidence or facts to back it up :P
  • Don't be scared to share your opinion. Everyone has an opinion and it seems there are lots of people out there that know stuff, but they too scared they might be wrong or might be ridiculed. Strange idea. The fact that everyone has their opinions helps to fire healthy debate from which others can learn.
  • Writing a blog post can be quick. Just flick me a mail with the article and I'll post it (if it's relevant of course). If you want to be a regular poster you can either email me the article or I can show you some quick ways of blogging, like via email, or using Windows Live Writer etc.
